Mike Barry

Lifetime Planning Financial Advisor

Mike has worked in the financial services industry for over 25 years, 15 of which were with M&I Bank. The majority of his time at M&I was spent as a Funds Manager in the Corporate Treasury area. Most recently, he worked for MetLife as a Financial Advisor specializing in wealth management as well as providing insurance solutions for his clients. A desire to pursue a financial planning path led him to the Ellenbecker Investment Group in March of 2010. His passion is to help guide his clients through each and every financial hurdle they may face while providing extraordinary service and exceptional planning.

Mike holds the following securities registrations:  Series 6 (Investment Company/Variable Contracts Limited Representative), 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law), 7 (General Securities Representative) and 65 (Uniform Investment Advisor Law) with SII Investments, Inc. as well as Life and Health Insurance licenses. He has recently taken the comprehensive CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERtm exam in anticipation of attaining the CFP®certification. Mike has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance with an Accounting emphasis from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Mike lives in Hartland with his wife Barb, who’s an RN, and 3 children. Samantha will graduate in 2012 with a degree from UW-Madison. Brian and Jake both attend Arrowhead High School. Traveling with his family, golf, tennis, hiking and reading are also favorites, along with playing in a couple’s cribbage league.
