Understanding Veteran Fraud & Scams
In this seminar for veterans and their families, April DeValkenaere of Fortress Financial Education reviews financial scams that target veterans including veteran's benefits and investment scams. Some criminals target current veterans and their families to scam them out of their benefits such as Tricare and those associated with the PACT Act. They will also try and manipulate veterans into investment scams targeting funds in their savings and retirement accounts. Awareness is the first step, prevention and reporting are also extremely important. We will discuss all three to help protect you and your veteran benefits.

Antiques Roadshow-And-Tell
Do you have a rare treasure at home or hiding in plain sight? Collectors and family archivists alike will enjoy this seminar presented by Timothy Stenger of Stenger Bischoff, an appraisal and advisory firm for all areas of collecting. Learn what a personal property valuation entails plus show-and-tell your heirlooms, antiques roadshow-style! Guests are encouraged to bring one to two small items (i.e. silver, sculpture, artwork) for a non-binding, verbal appraisal by Tim.
