Meet our Team

Diane Byrne, CFP®, Lifetime Planning Financial Advisor
diane@ellenbecker.com

Diane is an integral part of our financial life-planning team. Along with Karen and Julie, she works with our current clients and develops relationships with new clients. Diane is a member of our Investment Committee, which is instrumental in researching, selecting and monitoring the investments chosen for our portfolios.

Diane joined us in 2004 following a brief retirement from the financial services industry. After many years of planning, Diane and her husband, Dave, took a year off to “live their dream.” They set out with their 17 year-old cat to see the country and visit family and friends. More than 27,000 miles later they returned home for good – or until they retire again in 20 years! Diane’s experience gives her a unique perspective when working with our clients. She’s personally dealt with a variety of the life-planning issues our clients may face including living without a paycheck, spending extensive time with a spouse in a motorhome, health-insurance options and managing financial affairs while on the road. Diane's goal is to help our clients, so they, too, can live their dreams, whatever they may be.

Diane received her Certified Financial Planner® (CFP) designation in 1991, after she completed courses in Personal Finance, Insurance, Investments, Taxes, Retirement Planning and Estate Planning. She is a registered representative with SII Investments Inc., holding Securities registrations Series 7 (General Securities Representative), Series 24 (General Securities Principal) and Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law). She is a graduate of University of Wisconsin – LaCrosse.

Diane is an active member of the Financial Planning Association of Southern Wisconsin. Currently she is head of the Career Development Committee.

Diane and her husband have lived in their Brookfield “starter home” for more than 20 years. In addition to traveling, she enjoys golfing, reading, flea markets and gardening.
