Company History

Karen Ellenbecker, founder and owner of Ellenbecker Investment Group, Inc. has worked in a variety of areas of the investment industry throughout her lifetime. She has enjoyed all of her experiences and has used what she learned as a foundation for her company. Her experience has helped her understand that most people (including herself) need and want something more than financial advice. Ellenbecker Investment Group, Inc. was founded in 1996 and is a family owned business. Many of Karen's employees have been with her since the inception of the company and several of her clients have been with her even longer!

When Karen began in the investment field she was a single mother raising her three children. Her time was extremely valuable and free time was almost non-existent. She needed help with several different financial aspects of her life and did not have the time, or the energy, to research where she could receive the help she needed. Karen's personal experience is the foundation of Ellenbecker Investment Group, Inc. Karen started this business because she is committed to helping people with their entire life planning, not just their investments. She understands that wealth is important and essential but she also knows that being able to enjoy it is often much more important.

We are excited to announce a new partnership with the Wisconsin Athletic Club, and Froedtert & Medical College Small Stones Health and Wellness Center. This partnership brings more to our clients than financial security. Most of you know someone who died shortly after retirement leaving his or her spouse financially sound, but emotionally and spiritually devastated. The goal of this relationship is to enhance our ability to create and enjoy a higher quality of life. Together the Wisconsin Athletic Club, Froedtert & Medical College and the Ellenbecker Investment Group are reinventing the traditional health club, hospital and financial institution. Ask yourself the following questions. When do most people go to the Doctor? When they are sick. What about joining a health club? When they are out of shape or getting ready for major surgery. And when do you evaluate your retirement income? When you are ready to retire. Statistically many of us could be retired for as many years as we have worked! We want to give you practical ways to take new steps towards balanced living. This partnership will broaden our seminar topics and increase the resources available to our clients.
